Valencian Community citizens prioritize housing and cost of living
A recent survey conducted by Lápiz Estratégico Consulting for Levante-EMV reveals that the cost of living and access to housing are the primary concerns for citizens in the Valencian Community. The cost of living received a concern rating of 8.84, with the highest anxiety levels recorded in Alicante (9.26), Castellón (8.95), and Valencia (8.41). Housing access followed closely with a rating of 8.23, particularly impacting those in Alicante and the 31-45 age demographic.
While economic and political perceptions in the region show signs of improvement compared to last year, the social impact of recent natural disasters remains significant. Although negative assessments of the regional political situation dropped by 12.3 points, they remain higher than levels recorded prior to recent catastrophic flooding. Residents continue to demand concrete results in reconstruction, specifically regarding improved sewage systems, drainage networks, and flood prevention strategies to restore public confidence.
