Valencian Community tourism reputation scores 4.9 out of 10

The digital reputation of tourism in the Valencian Community received a score of 4.9 out of 10 during the second quarter of 2026, according to the LLYC Tourism Perception Barometer. While this represents a slight improvement from the 4.0 score recorded a year prior, the region remains among the lowest-ranked autonomous communities in Spain regarding favorable tourism perception.

Analysis of 21,260 digital messages revealed that 43% of the sentiment was negative, 29% was positive, and 28% was neutral. Positive discourse centered on Valencia being a regulatory benchmark due to the implementation of an ordinance described as the most restrictive in Spain for tourist apartments.

Conversely, negative conversations were dominated by concerns regarding 'touristification' and its perceived adverse effects on local housing, commerce, and daily life within the region.
