Valencian Education Department reallocates 13 million euros

The Valencian Community's Department of Education is reallocating 13 million euros originally intended for the construction and renovation of schools and institutes. This budgetary adjustment is being implemented to compensate for funds previously advanced to finance the regional government's Thermal Comfort Shock Plan.

The Department, led by Carmen Ortí, reported a credit insufficiency of 13 million euros—split equally between primary and secondary education centers—needed to cover ordinary operating expenses such as basic utilities, maintenance, and communications. To ensure the normal functioning of public educational centers, the administration is transferring funds from the building renovation program, which currently holds uncommitted investment credits, to the operating expenses chapter.
