Valencian Municipality of Marines Contributes €3,000 to Humanitarian Fund for Venezuelan Earthquake Relief

The Fons Valencià per la Solidaritat channels resources from Valencian local authorities to finance two projects that address the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela caused by recent earthquakes. The quakes have killed more than 5,500 people, injured over 17,000 and left more than 20,000 homeless. Projects are carried out under the Permanent Committee for Humanitarian Action and Emergencies of the Valencian Community (CAHE) and are implemented in partnership with UNHCR and UNICEF.

The town council of Marines provided an extraordinary €3,000 contribution to the fund, part of a collective €71,070 in extraordinary donations from participating municipalities and an additional €30,000 of regular contributions. The money will be used to support urgent needs on the ground for the Venezuelan population affected by the disaster.
