Diana Morant criticizes Supreme Court ruling and Valencian leadership

During the 9 d'Octubre celebrations in the Valencian Community, Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities Diana Morant criticized the Supreme Court's decision to annul a government decree. The decree aimed to tighten requirements for creating new universities to ensure quality standards and prevent the proliferation of low-resource private institutions. Morant argued that the ruling negatively impacts access to higher education, noting that many families must take out bank loans to cover costs due to a lack of public university places.

Morant also used the occasion to engage in political criticism against the regional government. She called for the resignation of President Juanfran Pérez Llorca, describing his leadership as lacking dialogue. Additionally, she positioned the Valencian Socialists as a political alternative, criticizing the regional administration's handling of housing rights and the recent flood crisis.
