Valencian universities launch new research chairs

Universities in the Valencian Community have announced new academic chairs to advance research in water management and literature.

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and Global Omnium have renewed the ‘Aguas de Valencia’ Chair. This four-year extension includes an annual funding of 40,000 euros dedicated to the integral management of the water cycle through technological development and research. Key priorities include decarbonization, green economy, and the application of artificial intelligence to environmental protection.

Separately, the Ajuntament de Burjassot and the Universitat de València (UV) have signed an agreement to create the ‘Vicent Andrés Estellés’ Chair of Reading and Literary Education. With an annual budget of 30,000 euros for four years, the initiative aims to promote research and knowledge transfer regarding the life and work of the poet Vicent Andrés Estellés.
