Valentina Vignali ordered to pay 50,000 euros in defamation case

An Italian court has issued a ruling in the long-standing legal battle between influencer Valentina Vignali and basketball player Stefano Laudoni. The court ordered Vignali to pay 50,000 euros in damages to Laudoni, plus legal expenses and the publication of the sentence.

The legal dispute originated from statements made by Vignali during her appearance on the reality program ‘Grande Fratello’ in 2019, where she alleged that Laudoni used prohibited substances during his athletic career. Laudoni, who had consistently denied these claims, described the statements as “calumnious and defamatory.” Following the decision, Laudoni shared the court order on social media, stating that justice has finally taken its course.
