Valentino Aquilano to portray Lucio Dalla in upcoming film

Artist Valentino Aquilano has been selected to portray the late Italian singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla in an upcoming film directed by Ambrogio Lo Giudice. The film, which features a screenplay by Stefano Sardo, is scheduled for release following the Sanremo Festival.

Local officials in Celle di San Vito, the smallest municipality in Puglia, expressed great enthusiasm for the casting. Mayor Maria Palma Giannini praised Aquilano’s extraordinary voice and interpretative abilities, noting his recent memorable concert in the town on August 14. The mayor suggested the town might bring him luck, drawing a parallel to the singer Pupo, who also performed there before achieving widespread success.
