Valentino Rossi and Dani Juncadella compete at Barcelona Speed Festival

The Barcelona-Legado María de Villota Speed Festival recently hosted the GT World Challenge Europe at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The event featured prominent international figures, including nine-time motorcycle world champion Valentino Rossi, who competed in a BMW M4 GT3 EVO for Team WRT. Rossi faced difficulties during the second race after losing his driver's door, resulting in a 38th-place finish.

Local driver Dani Juncadella, competing in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO for Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing, faced a challenging weekend. Despite a strong start, Juncadella's championship aspirations for the Sprint Cup were impacted by a collision involving teammate Chris Lulham during the first race.

In the Sprint Cup standings, Bastian Buus and Feller secured the championship title driving a Porsche. The race victory in difficult rainy conditions went to Dylan Pereira and Alex Aka in an Audi R8. Other categories, including the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe and McLaren Trophy Europe, were also part of the weekend's programming.
