Valentino Rossi lauds Lando Norris after F1 championship at Goodwood

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, nine‑time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi praised Lando Norris, saying he was “really very proud” of the British driver after Norris secured his first Formula 1 world championship at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2025.

Rossi recalled writing to Norris as a fan of his earlier, highlighted the yellow‑coloured crowds that echo his own legacy, and added that he would “never want to fight” against Max Verstappen, commending Norris’s composure in a season that also featured a rivalry with Oscar Piastri.
