Valentín Miranda launches ‘Construir’ political group within UCR

Provincial deputy Valentín Miranda has announced the formation of ‘Construir’, a new political space within the Unión Cívica Radical (UCR) in Buenos Aires. The group aims to influence the direction of the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The split follows disagreements regarding the composition of the Provincial Convention and the distribution of leadership roles. Miranda stated that the decision to form this new reference was driven by a perceived lack of transparency in decision-making and a failure to respect previous agreements regarding party integration.

Initially, the group includes legislators Valentín Miranda and Natalia Quintana, along with national deputy Pablo Juliano. The movement also holds support from various mayors, former mayors, and local leaders, particularly within the Fourth Section of the province.
