Valentín Montillo scores debut free-kick goal for Universidad de Chile U-18

Valentín Montillo, the 18-year-old son of former Universidad de Chile player Walter Montillo, scored his first goal for the club's Under-18 squad. The goal came via a long-distance free kick in the 88th minute during a match against Deportes Temuco.

Despite the impressive strike, which hit the crossbar before entering the net, Universidad de Chile lost the match 3-2 at the Centro Deportivo Azul. The defeat leaves the team with 11 points in the Sub-18 National Formative Championship as they compete for a spot in the next phase.

Valentín Montillo, who was trained in Spain with Fuenlabrada, officially joined the club's youth divisions in August. His father, a historic figure for the club, shared his support for his son on social media following the debut goal.
