Valeria Bartolucci faces trial for threats and assault in Rimini
Valeria Bartolucci appeared in court in Rimini to face charges of serious threats, aggravated defamation, and assault against Manuela Bianchi. The legal conflict stems from the discovery of an extramarital affair between Bianchi and Bartolucci’s husband, Louis Dassilva, who was previously the sole defendant in the Pierina Paganelli murder case.
During the pre-trial hearing, Bartolucci’s defense raised several procedural objections, including the alleged lack of a signature on certain documents and a discrepancy regarding the timing of the complaint. The defense argued that the complaint was filed late, noting that the alleged incidents occurred in July 2024, while the complaint was dated June 2024. Additionally, the defense contested the severity of the threats.
Judge Luca Gesseroli rejected an initial motion regarding the nullity of Bianchi’s status as a civil party. The judge has reserved a decision on the remaining procedural exceptions, with the next hearing scheduled for October 12.
