Valeria Marín resigns from TUDN after seven years

Journalist and presenter Valeria Marín has departed TUDN, a sports channel owned by Televisa, after seven years of coverage including the World Cup and Olympic Games. While Marín confirmed her resignation was a personal and professional decision, reports suggest she may have left because she was not selected for coverage of the 2026 World Cup.

Her husband, actor Julián Gil, clarified that although she submitted her resignation in early August, she continued to work until August 13 at the request of TUDN executives. Gil also addressed social media rumors suggesting that his alleged jealousy regarding Marín’s friendship with colleague Marc Crosas prompted her departure, dismissing such claims as unfounded.

Marín’s former colleagues and Marc Crosas have shared public messages of support and admiration for her professional career and personal character following her exit.
