Valerio Mele to leave Stretto di Messina for Anas leadership role

Valerio Mele, the technical director of Stretto di Messina, will step down from his position on October 1st. He is set to return to Anas, where he will serve as Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to the CEO.

This leadership change occurs as the Messina Strait Bridge project enters a critical phase. The transition coincides with the upcoming start of an investigation by the Interministerial Committee for Economic Programming and Sustainable Development (Cipess).

Stretto di Messina stated that Mele's move to Anas was planned and agreed upon well in advance. The company noted that it has already secured the necessary technical resources to continue the project, which recently received favorable opinions from Art and Csllp.
