Valheim players can explore Deep North and craft Intricate Keys

Players of Valheim can now explore the Deep North biome, a large-scale snow region located at the northern edge of the map. To reach this area, players can use a boat, though they must eventually travel on foot across frozen ice sheets once they reach the edge of the navigable water.

Survival in the Deep North requires specific preparation to combat freezing temperatures. Recommended gear includes the Feather Cape from the Eitr-weave armor set or armor sets from the Mistlands.

Exploration of the region's ruins and ornate doors requires an Intricate Key. This item must be crafted using the cast forging system. Players must first locate an Intricate Key mould, which is dropped by enemies or found in rubble within tunnels beneath settlements in the Deep North. The crafting process involves using a Black Forge to create an Intricate Key cast, which is then finished in a Frost Foundry.
