Valheim reaches Version 1.0 with new northern biome

The survival game Valheim, developed by Swedish studio Iron Gate, is transitioning from Early Access to its full Version 1.0 release. This milestone follows more than five years of development and iterative updates since its initial launch in February 2021.

The Version 1.0 update introduces a new biome set in the far north, characterized by snow and ice. This expansion includes new materials, recipes, bosses, and mechanics to conclude the game’s current developmental journey. The update also provides players with new items and resources, such as Black Marble, Bloodgold, and various new consumables and weapons.
