Valinhos and Alvorada host free municipal service days on Saturday
On Saturday, 18 May, the municipality of Valinhos in São Paulo state organized a "Prefeitura nos Bairros" Day D in the Jardim Pinheiros neighborhood. Starting at 8 a.m., city officials provided a range of urban‑maintenance and social services, including street cleaning, pothole repair, tree pruning, public‑space revitalisation, flu vaccination, blood‑pressure checks, nutrition assessments, free haircuts, a women's entrepreneurship fair, pet adoption, and assistance for people with autism.
The same day, the Alvorada neighbourhood in Roraima held a "Prefeitura Com Você" outreach event at the local school. Residents accessed health services such as medical consultations, dental care, vaccinations, rapid testing, mammography, and psychological support, alongside social‑assistance actions like Cadastro Único enrolment, micro‑credit information, and consumer‑rights advice. Additional activities featured cultural performances, environmental education, a playground, and support for small‑business development. Both programs aim to bring municipal administration closer to citizens by concentrating multiple public services in a single, free‑of‑charge location.
