Valjevo citizens receive energy efficiency subsidies

Dubravka Đedović Handanović, the Minister of Mining and Energy in a technical mandate, has delivered 37 contracts to citizens in Valjevo for energy renovation of family homes and apartments. These specific subsidies cover up to 90 percent of the renovation value for socially vulnerable residents.

In total, 190 citizens received subsidies through this year’s public call. Individual measures are subsidized up to 50 percent, while packages of measures receive up to 65 percent. Historically, 851 households in Valjevo, involving approximately 3,400 citizens, have benefited from such programs.

In addition to residential support, significant funds have been allocated to public infrastructure. Projects nearing completion by year-end include energy renovations for the ‘Živorad Grbić’ Music School, the ‘Petnica’ Sports Center, and the ‘Valis’ Sports Hall. Other regional projects include renovations for the Youth Center in Lajkovac, the Municipal Administration building in Mionica, and the ‘Vojvoda Živojin Mišić’ Primary School.
