Valjevo security worker Damjan Dragojlović killed in club shooting

Damjan Dragojlović, a 25-year-old athlete, coach, and security worker from Valjevo, was fatally shot in front of the ‘Zipa’ club during the night of October 29–30, 2016.

According to his mother, Ljiljana Dragojlović, Damjan had just shared a warm moment with her at the club before the incident. The shooter, identified as 22-year-old Sreten Toni Nikolić, reportedly returned to the club with a handgun following a prior dispute regarding club entry. Witnesses and accounts indicate that Damjan attempted to protect others by using his body to shield people inside the club from the gunfire.
