Valladolid expands urban parking with 232 new spaces

Valladolid has expanded its parking capacity with the addition of 232 new spaces in the Huerta del Rey and La Victoria neighborhoods. The La Victoria parking area, located near the Miguel Delibesy public school and El Principito nursery, provides 60 spaces. Additionally, a new facility on Bálago Street offers 172 spaces, including five reserved for people with reduced mobility and four equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.

This expansion is part of a broader municipal roadmap presented by Mayor Jesús Julio Carnero, which aims to add 1,107 free deterrent parking spaces across nine locations by 2027. The long-term plan seeks to implement over 2,400 new parking spaces to improve urban mobility, reduce congestion, and promote a more sustainable model. Recent investments also include a deterrent parking area near the Feria de Valladolid, which transformed an underutilized plot through a 238,000 euro investment.
