Valladolid International Film Festival features dramatic premieres

The second day of the 71st Valladolid International Film Festival (Seminci) focused on dramatic narratives exploring themes of care, loss, and guilt.

Key premieres included Lance Hammer’s ‘Queen at Sea’, starring Juliette Binoche, which examines human fragility and family dynamics through the lens of illness. Andrea Pallaoro’s ‘The Echo Chamber’ presents a story of a breakup based on a posthumous script by Bernardo Bertolucci, set in a London apartment. Additionally, Danish director May el-Toukhy presented ‘Woman Unknown’, a survival story set in Denmark following the end of the Nazi occupation.
