Spanish courts issue various criminal and workplace safety sentences
Various judicial rulings and criminal incidents have been reported across Spain. In Alicante, the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community confirmed a one-year prison sentence for a 19-year-old man convicted of sexual assault against a 14-year-old girl in Villena.
In Valladolid, prosecutors are seeking 112 years in prison for a young man accused of the group rape of a woman with a disability in 2023. The case is scheduled for trial on October 13.
In Vigo, four executives from the Cardama shipyard have been sentenced to one and a half years in prison following a 2022 workplace accident that resulted in the death of an operator. The court also ordered a total compensation of 541,875 euros to the victim's family.
Additionally, in Cocentaina, a 44-year-old man was arrested for alleged domestic violence after his mother sought assistance at a local health center.
