Italy implements regional subsidies and training programs

Various regional initiatives across Italy are providing economic support and training to address sector-specific challenges. In Sardinia, the Consorzio di Bonifica del Nord Sardegna announced 4.15 million euros in regional funding to mitigate drought effects and cover energy costs for farmers. Similarly, in Calabria, regional authorities are processing payments to agricultural businesses to ensure financial continuity.

In Basilicata, over 10 million euros have been allocated to support agriculture and transport against rising energy and raw material costs. Lazio has approved a 10 million euro call for agricultural diversification, including agritourism and rural services. In the Piana del Sele region of Campania, three cooperative banks have launched a 30 million euro fund to help the buffalo dairy industry transition to green technologies.

Beyond direct financial aid, training and social initiatives are also underway. Liguria is offering free technical courses for high-speed rail and maritime sectors. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, a project called Foramba is connecting Argentine youth of Friulian descent with local craftsmanship. Additionally, several municipalities are implementing community health and social welfare measures, such as the donation of defibrillators in Teramo and the celebration of blood donation milestones in Andria and Trani.
