Vallée de l’Eure offers historical Roman heritage near Uzès

The Vallée de l’Eure, located near Uzès, serves as a tranquil natural site featuring green spaces and a water source that historically supplied Nîmes during the 1st century AD. The water was transported via a 50 km aqueduct, which included the Pont-du-Gard.

The valley is characterized by the Alzon river, small bridges, and various hiking paths that can lead to Uzès. Visitors can find shaded areas, remnants of Roman infrastructure, and a 19th-century disused building within the park.
