Valle de Santiago barbershop shooting leaves one dead

A man was shot and killed inside a barbershop located in the central zone of Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the ‘La Santa’ establishment.

Witnesses reported that a hooded individual entered the premises and fired multiple shots at the victim, striking him in the chest and head. The assailant fled the scene immediately following the attack. Emergency responders and firefighters arrived at the location, but the victim, described as being between 25 and 30 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Local security forces cordoned off the area near the intersection of Juárez and Emilio Carranza streets to preserve evidence. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the victim and determine the motive behind the homicide, though no suspects have been apprehended.
