Valle de Uco chambers warn of trade risks amid Argentina-Brazil tensions
Commercial chambers in Argentina's Valle de Uco have expressed concern regarding the diplomatic instability between Argentina and Brazil. The tension follows recent remarks by President Javier Milei concerning President Lula da Silva, leading to Brazil's decision to withdraw its ambassador, Julio Bitelli, from Argentina.
Regional business organizations from Tunuyán, San Carlos, and Tupungato issued a joint statement warning that institutional tension between the two nations creates uncertainty for commerce, investment, and regional development. They emphasized that Brazil is a primary commercial partner for Argentina and a strategic destination for Mendoza's exports.
The chambers urged the Argentine Foreign Ministry and the Brazilian Embassy to strengthen dialogue and restore diplomatic channels to protect the productive interests of both countries.
