Valle del Cauca entrepreneurs face deadline for earthquake relief credits
Entrepreneurs in the Valle del Cauca department of Colombia have until Friday, October 30, to apply for condonable credits of up to $5 million to recover from the earthquake that occurred on August 10.
The Fonder Valle program, a joint initiative between the Valle del Cauca Governor's Office and the Ministry of Commerce, aims to assist 1,800 productive units. The funds are intended to help businesses replace machinery, tools, and inventory damaged during the seismic event.
Eligible municipalities include Buenaventura, Cali, Cartago, La Unión, Roldanillo, Sevilla, and Zarzal. To qualify, applicants must register through the official digital platform and provide legal certification of their status as victims, such as registration in the Unique Registry of Victims (RUD) or certification from a local Disaster Risk Management Council.
