Valle Gran Rey to allocate 200,000 euros for educational aid

The Valle Gran Rey City Council is preparing its study aid program for the 2026/2027 academic year, which will feature a budget exceeding 200,000 euros. This represents a significant increase from the 30,000 euros allocated during the 2023/2024 course.

Mayor Borja Barroso stated that the expansion aims to increase maximum amounts across all categories and address more educational needs. The new structure includes increased support for various levels, such as 300 euros for early childhood and primary education, 550 euros for high school, and up to 1,000 euros for in-person university degrees.

New features for the upcoming call include the introduction of Educational Excellence Awards to recognize top academic records, as well as a 'Bono Infantil' to support families and early childhood schooling.
