Vallebona urban regeneration project advances in Liguria

Regional assessor for Urban Regeneration Marco Scajola visited Vallebona with mayor Alessandro Lantero and municipal technicians to inspect the ongoing works funded by the Liguria region. The project, slated for completion in autumn, will transform the abandoned northern entrance of the historic centre into a green public space equipped with community furniture, a pétanque court and a disabled‑access parking area. It also includes the refurbishment of the former municipal house, now dedicated to exhibition spaces. Scajola highlighted the importance of improving access, enhancing the quality of life for residents and attracting tourists to the Ligurian interior.

The initiative reflects the regional government's strategy to support small municipalities and revitalize Ligurian villages through coordinated public‑private investment and continuous dialogue with local authorities.
