Valledupar police arrest man for allegedly assaulting child with a stone

Police in Valledupar have arrested a man identified as Ángel David Martínez for the alleged assault of a six-year-old girl. The incident occurred in the Tierra Prometida sector, where the child reportedly sustained an impact from a stone to her face.

According to Colonel Germán Alexander Gómez Aranguren, commander of the Valledupar Metropolitan Police, the arrest was made possible after a family member of the minor provided descriptions of the suspect's physical appearance and clothing. Following the identification, officers located and apprehended Martínez in the same area. He has been placed at the disposal of judicial authorities to face charges for alleged personal injury.
