Vallefoglia Mayor requests new security hub from Italian government
Palmiro Ucchielli, the Mayor of Vallefoglia, has reiterated his request to the Italian government for the establishment of a new security hub in the city. In previous months, Ucchielli sent formal requests to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi to strengthen law enforcement presence in the area.
Ucchielli noted that while Vallefoglia has approximately 15,000 residents, it sees a daily influx of about 50,000 people due to its commercial activities, medical offices, and various businesses. The Mayor proposed that the new security hub should include a new police station to help combat and prevent petty crime and organized crime infiltration. He emphasized that the decision should be based on specific parameters, including population density, crime reports, and proximity to existing law enforcement stations.
