Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia to Compete in CEV Challenge Cup

The CEV confirmed that the Italian volleyball club Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia will take part in next season's CEV Challenge Cup. The white‑green team, which captured the title in its debut by beating Panathinaikos Athens in a tight final, will join the draw for the Champions League, CEV Cup and Challenge Cup on 15 July at the European Broadcasting Center in Luxembourg. The draw will be streamed live on YouTube and the CEV Facebook page.

Club president Ivano Angeli said the team is "very happy to have the opportunity to compete in the next edition of the Challenge Cup" and noted that expectations have risen after last year’s “memorable victory”. Coach Andrea Pistola added that the confirmation gives the squad an extra boost for a season already loaded with domestic league and Coppa Italia commitments, and expressed confidence that the team can "perform well on all fronts".

The announcement underscores the club’s growing profile in European volleyball and its aim to maintain the high standards set by its inaugural European success.
