Vallenato musicians visit ailing Children's Vallenato King

Professional Vallenato King 2026, José Juan Camilo Guerra, visited Jerónimo Álvarez, the 2026 Children's Vallenato King, in a Bogotá clinic following a health setback. The visit was intended to offer solidarity and encouragement to the young accordionist.

During the encounter, singer Silvestre Dangond joined via video call to speak with Álvarez. Dangond discussed a gift previously given to the child, an accordion, and encouraged him to use music as a source of strength during his recovery. Guerra expressed his hope that the two musicians would eventually perform together on stage once Álvarez has recovered.
