Valley Medical Center begins new Cancer Center construction phase

Valley Medical Center & Clinics in Renton has launched Phase 1B of its Cancer Center construction. Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 20, the facility is scheduled to begin providing expanded care on August 31.

This new phase aims to consolidate five specialty clinics into a single connected space: the Oncology & Hematology Clinic, Multidisciplinary Clinic, Acute Symptom Management Clinic, High Risk Screening & Genetics Clinic, and the Supportive & Palliative Care Clinic. The integration is intended to improve collaboration between providers and simplify the experience for patients and caregivers.

The project follows previous developments, including the opening of an Infusion Center, Infusion Pharmacy, and the Trapper and Samantha Wellbeing Resource Center in February 2025. The center's construction has been a multi-stage process involving private funding and various infrastructure additions since 2018.
