Valleyfair's Superior Shores Waterpark Unveils New Slides for National Waterpark Day

Valleyfair's Superior Shores waterpark in Shakopee, Minnesota will celebrate National Waterpark Day on July 28, 2026. An expansion adds 13 new slides and attractions, raising the total to 24 distinct water experiences. Highlights include Lighthouse Landing, a tower with three high‑speed tube slides and a dual‑mat racing slide, and Minnow Bay, a lagoon featuring eight kid‑friendly slides and interactive splash zones.

The day‑long event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features a "Seek. Solve. Splash." scavenger‑hunt. Twenty numbered signs are hidden throughout the park; at hourly intervals new codes are released via social media and park signage. Participants decode the clues to open prize lockers.
