Vallourec and Aramco expand long-term tubular goods partnership

Vallourec, a French provider of tubular solutions, and Saudi Arabia’s Aramco have expanded their long-standing partnership through a new agreement for the supply of oil country tubular goods (OCTG).

The agreement was signed during the recent French-Saudi Investment Roundtable Meeting in Paris. This collaboration builds on a relationship dating back to 1962, when the companies first partnered for the supply of VAM connections for OCTG pipes.

Vallourec has established a significant industrial presence in Saudi Arabia, including a facility in Dammam inaugurated in 2011 for heat treatment and threading of premium connections. According to Vallourec CEO Philippe Guillemot, the deal strengthens ties and ensures supply security to the Kingdom despite current logistical constraints.
