Vallourec secures energy infrastructure contracts in Greece and Azerbaijan
Vallourec has secured two significant contracts for energy infrastructure projects in Greece and Azerbaijan.
In Greece, Vallourec will supply approximately 3,000 metric tons of casing pipes and accessories to EnEarth, a subsidiary of Energean, for the Prinos CO2 Carbon Storage project. This offshore development aims to convert a depleted oil reservoir into a permanent carbon storage site. The contract includes seamless carbon steel and corrosion-resistant alloy casing pipes featuring VAM® premium connections and CLEANWELL® dope-free technology to ensure long-term well integrity.
In Azerbaijan, Vallourec has been awarded a contract by TotalEnergies to provide solutions for the development of the Absheron gas field in the Caspian Sea. The company will supply over 16,000 tonnes of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) and line pipe. The Absheron field is expected to produce up to 6 billion cubic meters of gas per year and 47,000 barrels of condensate per day, serving both domestic and export markets.
