Valmadrera inaugurates Le Coccinelle nursery school
The municipality of Valmadrera has inaugurated Le Coccinelle, a new nursery school designed to replace a previous facility that only provided 19 places. The new structure is authorized for 37 children, with the capacity to expand to 44. At full capacity, the service is expected to accommodate 40 children.
The project was funded through the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) under Mission 4, involving a total investment exceeding 2.8 million euros. This includes a 1.67 million euro contribution from the European Union and 1.17 million euros from the municipality.
The building is classified as a Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) with an A4 energy rating. It features a photovoltaic system, radiant heating and cooling panels without the use of methane gas, mechanical ventilation, and rainwater recovery. The facility includes three classrooms, two multifunctional ateliers, a central collective area, and a garden of over 750 square meters. Management has been assigned to Impresa sociale Girasole.
