Valmo simplifies tax compliance for delivery partners

Valmo, the logistics arm of Meesho, has introduced an initiative to simplify Income Tax Return (ITR) filing for its delivery partners. The program is designed to help partners manage tax obligations, claim refunds on excess Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and establish formal financial records to assist with future access to financial services.

Since the program's launch in July, approximately 10,000 delivery partners have initiated the filing process, resulting in roughly ₹2 crore in claimed refunds. Notably, nearly 70% of those participating are first-time tax filers. To ensure accessibility, Valmo utilized WhatsApp and its internal Training Management System to communicate in seven different languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali. The initiative allows partners to access the ClearTax platform directly to manage their filings.
