Valongo Municipality receives awards for social and physical activity programs

The Municipality of Valongo has been recognized for its social programs during the IV Social City Congress held in Lagoa. The municipality received two distinct quality awards.

The “ASA – Acreditamos em Seniores Ativos” program was honored for its quality in senior physical exercise programs. This recognition evaluates criteria such as human resource qualification, physical exercise prescription, safety, and participant monitoring to promote active aging and combat isolation among the elderly.

Additionally, the “Tok’A Mexer” program received recognition for the quality of its holiday camps. This program focuses on providing dynamic activities for children and youth during school breaks, aiming to develop autonomy, creativity, and social skills while supporting families in balancing professional and personal lives.
