Valor 1000 ranking highlights Grupo MAG and Generali Brasil
The 2026 edition of the Valor 1000 yearbook, published by Valor Econômico, highlights the performance of major insurance companies in Brazil.
Grupo MAG has been ranked among the top 15 life and pension companies in the country for the second consecutive year. The company achieved a 34.7% return on average equity, ranking 9th among large companies in this indicator. Additionally, Grupo MAG reported R$ 2.83 billion in premiums earned, placing it 6th in that category, and a net profit of R$ 400.3 million.
Generali Brasil rose three positions to become the 16th largest insurer in Brazil according to the same ranking. The company reported R$ 2.2 billion in issued premiums for 2025, representing a 33.7% increase from the previous year. Generali also recorded R$ 1.8 billion in operating profit and R$ 137.8 million in net profit, maintaining a presence within the top 20 for various financial and operational indicators.
