Valor Mortis launches as historical horror Soulslike

The Soulslike title Valor Mortis has been released, offering a dark fantasy reimagining of the Napoleonic Wars. The game distinguishes itself from the genre's typical high-fantasy tropes by utilizing a historical setting blended with supernatural elements, mutant magic, and body horror.

Players take on the role of William, a soldier who gains supernatural powers after rising from the dead. The gameplay involves navigating plague-stricken landscapes and overcoming various challenges, such as using Shield Transmutation to bypass toxic gas and lighting signal towers to unlock new areas.
