VALORANT announces Patch 13.06 with new game mode and Warden rifle

Riot Games has announced significant updates for VALORANT arriving in Patch 13.06. The update introduces a new experimental game mode titled ‘Gauntlet: Glitched’, where eight teams of two compete in a tournament-style round robin. In this mode, players draft abilities from a randomized pool to create hybrid ‘Robo-Agents’, with unexpected glitches altering familiar abilities to encourage experimentation.

Weaponry is also expanding with the introduction of the Warden, a new automatic rifle designed to sit alongside the Vandal and Phantom. The Warden features a strong Aim Down Sights (ADS) option and high damage output, intended to provide more flexibility for players holding long sightlines without using a sniper rifle.

Additionally, a new Agent Mastery system will replace the existing Agent Gear system. This system rewards player playtime and performance, allowing users to showcase dedication through customizable Agent IDs and cosmetic rewards such as portraits, icons, and borders.
