Valour launches AI-powered crypto hedge fund

Valour, the digital asset exchange-traded product arm of DeFi Technologies, has launched its first hedge fund, the Smart Crypto Fund SP. Operating under the newly established Valour Funds SPC, the fund began operations on September 21.

Designed specifically for professional and qualified investors, the fund utilizes an artificial intelligence-driven investment strategy developed by Swiss-based Neuronomics AG. Unlike traditional funds that maintain a fixed basket of assets, this strategy employs proprietary AI ensemble models to analyze price, volume, and market data. These models determine portfolio exposure, position sizing, and timing for liquid digital assets based on short- and medium-term market conditions.

The fund incorporates predefined risk budgets, individual asset limits, and concentration controls to manage exposure. Trading instructions are executed via algorithms optimized for market liquidity and transaction costs. This launch marks an expansion for Valour from fixed digital asset exposure into actively managed portfolio allocation.
