Valparaíso music events showcase Orquesta Filarmónica and indie projects at local venues

The provincial Orquesta Filarmónica gave its seventh subscription concert at the Teatro Independencia in Valparaíso, performing Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 80 and Ludwig van Beethoven's "Ruins of Athens" Op. 113. The ensemble was conducted by Nicolas Raussy and joined by the Coro de Amicana, the alumni choir of Colegio Martín Zapata, soprano Mariana Rodríguez and baritone Fernando Lázari.

On the same day, the independent label Leviatán presented three regional music projects—Seba & El Monstruo, Uaco and Mono Guitarra—at the Centex auditorium. The “Ciclo Leviatánconcert series aimed to bring emerging Valparaíso artists to a close‑up acoustic setting, accompanied by a fair of local labels and collectives.
