Valtiendas celebrates 18th Grape Harvest Festival

The town of Valtiendas celebrated its 18th Grape Harvest Festival (Fiesta de la Vendimia), an event dedicated to the region's viticultural roots and the promotion of DOP Valtiendas wines.

The celebration featured the fifth stop of the Caravana de Alimentos de Segovia, which brought together 19 local producers showcasing cheeses, meats, sweets, olives, and beers. Among the participants were six wineries from the DOP Valtiendas: Valmenia, González Fischer, Navaltallar, Pago El Almendro, José Galindo Winegrower, and Malacepa.

Key activities included a traditional grape stomping to produce the first must of the 2026 harvest, a mass, and a formal proclamation. The event was attended by local authorities, including the President of the Segovia Provincial Council, Miguel Ángel de Vicente, and the Mayor of Valtiendas, José María Galindo.
