Valtteri Bottas dismisses false rumours of Cadillac F1 seat being at risk

Finnish Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas labelled recent online speculation that his Cadillac seat could be terminated as “shameful” and driven by a desire for headlines and clicks. He affirmed that both he and the team know his situation and that Cadillac supports him 100 percent.

Cadillac team principal Graeme Lowdon rejected the rumours, stating there is no factual basis and that the team has no plans to replace Bottas. Suggestions that reserve driver Colton Herta might take his place were also denied, with Lowdon noting Herta lacks super‑license points. The team continues to develop the car while racing, a challenge Bottas and teammate Sergio Perez are helping to meet during a difficult start to the season, highlighted by a poor weekend in Canada.
