Valtteri Bottas raises nearly €50,000 for rhino charity

Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas has raised nearly €50,000 for Care for Wild, a South African charity that operates a large rhino orphanage. The funds were raised through a unique campaign involving a race-worn helmet.

The helmet, which features a sunset design with rhinos, was worn by Bottas during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in honor of World Rhino Day. Designed by his partner, Tiffany Cromwell, the helmet was awarded to a winner chosen at random from fans who purchased a signed card featuring a photograph of the driver.

Care for Wild focuses on protecting rhinos from poaching and rehabilitating animals to return them to the wild. This initiative follows a similar fundraising approach Bottas previously used for the men's health charity Movember.
