Valtteri Bottas Refutes F1 Rumors, Confirms Spot with Cadillac

Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas dismissed recent media speculation that he could be replaced at Cadillac's Formula 1 team, calling the stories "complete nonsense" and attributing them to click‑bait headlines. Bottas, whose contract runs through the end of 2027, said his position within the team remains secure and that team principal Graeme Lowdon has also denied any basis for the rumors.

Cadillac executive Dan Towriss echoed the denial, stating the team has full confidence in Bottas and that discussions about his performance affecting his future have never been on the table. Towriss explained that performance differences between Bottas and teammate Sergio Pérez stem from ongoing car development, particularly changes in downforce, rather than driver shortcomings. Both the driver and the team emphasised that Bottas will continue to race for Cadillac in the current season.

The clarification comes amid heightened attention surrounding the Canadian Grand Prix, but all parties involved stressed that the driver lineup is settled and that the speculation was unfounded.
